ELEANA ASSIMACOPOULOS
Journalist & Author
Welcome to my personal website and blog, with posts including stories I’ve worked on as a professional journalist, as well as more personal pieces relating to current worldly affairs. Journalism is no longer just about a byline. Now more than ever, there is a face and personal brand behind the media, which is just as important as the content itself. It is my hope that this website will give you a taste of both.

ABOUT ME
Eleana Assimacopoulos attended the prestigious Washington Journalism Media Conference in 2017, which piqued her interest in journalism. She then became a reporter for NAU’s newspaper, The Lumberjack, from 2018 to 2021 and has written in the News, Op-Ed, and Features section. She is continuing to pursue her Journalism degree, emphasizing Photojournalism and an International Communications minor to be completed in the United Kingdom. Eleana hopes to complete a Creative Writing Master’s program in the UK to open up her opportunities for a career choice that involves various types of writing. Which would include contemporary and experimental narratives such as screenwriting, fiction, spoken word, and fieldwork, as well as journalism.
